Intel Arc B580 and Arc B570 desktop GPUs to be unveiled on December 3
Intel's Battlemage desktop graphics cards are closer to launch than initially anticipated. Videocardz has learned it will be announced on December 3 and launched on December 12, which is around when reviews of the GPU should start showing up. However, as stated previously, initial availability might not be anything to write home about, and you may have to wait until 2025 to actually get your hands on one.
The report also confirms only two models will launch initially: Arc B580 and Arc B570, with the Arc B3xx and Arc B7xx SKUs are noticeably missing from the lineup. Moore's Law is Dead speculated the Arc B770 has been pushed back indefinitely, and the Arc B380 may be unveiled sometime in 2025.
We've seen the Arc B580 show up at Geekbench with 12 GB of 19 Gbps VRAM on a 192-bit bus, 20 Xe cores and a boost clock of 2.8 GHz. It will supposedly cost $250 at launch and trade blows with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in performance.
On the other hand, very little is known about the Arc B570. Last generation, the Arc A570M launched as a laptop-only model, so there's no telling what a desktop variant could have in store. Still, it wouldn't be outlandish to assume a ~$200 price tag and likely 8 GB of VRAM.
