The Intel Arc B580 is now available to pre-order in the US ahead of the card's release on December 13. While Intel claimed that its Battlemage G21-based GPU would be available for $249, it seems that Intel is allowing its partners to set their own pricing.

Hardly any time has passed since Intel introduced its new Arc B570 and Arc B580 graphics cards. While the company claimed that the Arc B580 would be available from December 13, two ASRock cards can already be purchased through Newegg. In fact, it seems that date applies to when initial Arc B580 graphics cards will begin shipping.

For context, the Arc B580 utilises Intel's Battlemage G21 GPU with 20 Xe cores and 20 ray tracing units, as well as 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM running on a 192-bit memory bus. As a result, the graphics card provides 456 GB/s peak memory bandwidth, which is somewhat between the Radeon RX 7700 XT and GeForce RTX 4070 (curr. $509.99 on Amazon).

With that being said, Intel has designed the Arc B580 to challenge the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. Officially, the Arc B580 has a 2,670 MHz GPU clock. However, both of ASRock's cards deliver a modest boost in this regard, with 2,740 MHz for the Challenger Arc B580 and 2,800 MHz for the Steel Legend Arc B580. With that being said, the pair come in slightly above Intel's $249 MSRP at $259.99 and $269.99, respectively. Please see our Arc B580 launch article for more details about Intel's latest attempt at producing a desktop-class graphics card and how it supposedly compares against its peers.
