Mouth-watering Arc B580 and Arc B570 price/perf on cards as Arc Battlemage and RDNA 4 Navi 44 GPUs to outrun RTX 4060 Ti
The season of brand new GPU launches is upon us with Intel unveiling the Arc Battlemage GPUs on December 3 with a full release planned for some days later. Not to be left behind, AMD and Nvidia are also gearing up for the RDNA 4 and RTX 50 reveal at CES 2025. So, come January, we will have three different desktop GPU series available to buy from Team Blue, Red, and Green.
However, gamers who are hopeful for budget offerings from the upcoming launches won’t see any from Nvidia, as the company is reportedly launching the RTX 5090 and the RTX 5080 first. This leaves only AMD and Intel to compete in the entry-level and mid-range segments for the next few months with Arc B580/B570 and Navi 44 GPUs, respectively.
Intel Arc B580, Arc B570, and Navi 44 performance
According to information posted on Weibo by Golden Pig Upgrade, the Intel’s Battlemage Arc B580, and B570 GPUs are faster than the RTX 4060 Ti in synthetic benchmarks. This means that, in optimized titles where this synthetic performance translates into gaming, the Arc B580 and Arc B570 could beat the RTX 4060 Ti.
Similarly, the leaker also suggests that AMD’s entry-level RDNA 4 Navi 44 GPU is also able to beat the RTX 4060 Ti in benchmarks. This performance projection is in line with previous leaks that had Navi 44 performance lying somewhere between the RX 7600 XT and the RX 7800 XT.
Intel Arc B580 and B570 beating RTX 4060 Ti is exciting news
On the surface, the Arc B580 and Arc B570 outperforming the RTX 4060 Ti is not anything to write home about, as the RTX 4060 Ti isn’t that impressive. But, when you consider that the Arc B580 is said to cost around $250 with 12 GB of RAM, things start to look a lot more exciting.
At the time of writing, the cheapest RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB card is retailing for $370 on Amazon and $385 on Newegg. So, the Arc B580, assuming it beats the RTX 4060 Ti in gaming, will not only be faster but also cost considerably less.
Additionally, if the Arc B570 also outruns the RTX 4060 Ti, it will be a major win for budget buyers, as the GPU is likely to cost noticeably less than the Arc B580 when it launches.
As for Navi 44, we don’t have any information regarding pricing yet. AMD is expected to reveal the RDNA 4 GPUs at CES 2025, so there is a chance that we see the Navi 44 there. That said, if the RX 7600 and the RX 7600 XT are any indication, the RX 8600 XT could have a sub-$350 price.
