While Intel has already unveiled both its Arc B580 and Arc B570 GPUs, only the Arc 580 is currently available for purchase (although frequently out of stock). Now, ahead of the official retail launch of the Intel Arc B570 GPU, performance figures have been leaked, giving us an indication of what to expect from the new budget GPU.
In a set of early Geekbench 6 GPU benchmarks of the Intel Arc B570 indicate that it will be a strong contender against the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT, which is currently something of a budget king, coming in at just over $300 on sites like Amazon. In the benchmarks, the Intel Arc B570 manages an aggregate score of 86,716 points.
In comparison, a recent AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT benchmark registered a score of 87,330 — an almost negligible increase over the Intel Arc system. There are, however, outlier results for the AMD RX 7600 XT that score well into the 90,000 points range, however, those seem to be overclocked systems, rather than stock, and we don't yet have overclocking data for the Arc B570 to compare.
The B570 compares somewhat less favourably to the likes of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, which manages GPU benchmark scores of between around 95,000 and 110,000 points, putting it significantly ahead of the B570. That said, it should be noted that both the RTX 4060 and the Radeon RX 7600 XT are nearly $100 more expensive than the Intel Arc B570, making the B570 an impressive performer.
The biggest victory for the Intel Arc B570 in this comparison is that, thanks to the lack of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050, Nvidia simply does not have a desktop graphics card capable of competing with the price-to-performance ratio of the Arc B570. While the RTX 4060 retails at around $300, the Intel Arc B570 is slated to launch at a whopping $219.
It should also be mentioned that these leaked Geekbench tests are likely not representative of the final performance of the new Intel Arc B570 GPU. Not only is it only one canned benchmark, but the testing was likely also done on an engineering sample with incomplete drivers, and a sample size of one is a very unscientific test. Still, it's enough to spur on hope that Intel's new GPU offering could shake up the budget GPU market.
