Intel's Arc B580 "Battlemage" GPU has become a surprise hit, selling out quickly at $250. With 12GB VRAM and competitive performance against RTX 4060 and RX 7600, it marks a turnaround for Intel's graphics division after previously losing its entire market share. Weekly restocks are planned to meet high demand.

Intel's Arc B580 "Battlemage" graphics card has turned out to be a surprise hit in what’s been a tough year for the company. This $250 GPU didn’t stick around long after launch—it sold out fast at all the major retailers. Intel’s spokesperson, Mark Anthony Ramirez, says they’ll be restocking the Limited Edition model weekly and working with their partners to keep it on shelves.

The B580 is making waves as a solid option against the RTX 4060 and AMD RX 7600. It offers a nice balance of performance and price. With 12GB of VRAM, and a 192-bit memory bus, it’s a good pick for gamers playing at 1080p or 1440p.

Now, the B580 doesn’t win against its competitors in every game at 1080p, but thanks to better drivers and solid overall performance, it’s getting good reviews from tech experts. Steve Walton from Hardware Unboxed mentioned there’s actually a good chunk of supply out there, with manufacturers, retailers, and distributors all backing up that claim. So much for those "paper launch" rumors.

If you’re looking to snag one, Newegg is saying the $250 Limited Edition model could be restocked by early January. ASRock, on the other hand, just says it’s "coming soon." Gunnir’s versions from China are also an option, though those will cost you anywhere from $379 to $429.

The B580’s success is a significant turnaround for Intel’s discrete GPU team, especially after they lost the entire GPU market share following the Arc Alchemist series launch in 2022. With the positive reception and high demand, it looks like Intel’s graphics division is finally finding its stride—just in time, too, since AMD and NVIDIA have their next-gen GPUs in the works.
