Intel desktop CPUs are taking an embarrassing beating in Germany, as AMD Ryzen CPUs accounted for a staggering 93.26% of all CPU sales on Mindfactory for the past three weeks per the data shared by TechEpiphany on X. This 93% market share translates into 15,285 total AMD Ryzen CPUs sold, whereas Intel’s small 6.74% share only accounts for about 1,105 processors.
What’s more troubling for Intel, however, is that the bulk of Team Blue’s sales consist of the 13th and 14th-gen CPUs that utilize the LGA1700 socket and not the latest Arrow Lake series. In fact, the Core Ultra 200S Arrow Lake CPU sales are just 120 units. Compare this to the 11,160 Zen 5 + Zen 4 units sold and you can get an idea of just how bad of a place Intel is in Germany.
Looking at the individual CPUs, the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D has been the best-selling processor on Mindfactory for the past three weeks, with 2,740 units sold. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D (2,050) and the Ryzen 5 7500F (1,030) occupy second and third place, respectively. Intel only enters the list at 28th place with the Core i5-14600KF and its 90 units.
For Arrow Lake processors, we are looking at the Core Ultra 7 265K, Core Ultra 9 285K, and Core Ultra 5 245K standing at 50, 20, and 20 units, respectively.
So, Intel Arrow Lake CPU sales have failed to improve from last month when we reported that the Core Ultra 200 chips were having a pretty hard time competing with the AMD Zen 5 chips.
Intel has delivered a new Arrow Lake performance update
Intel has released the much-awaited performance update for Arrow Lake CPUs. The company claims that it has identified five key issues and has already managed to fix four. Issues like failure of the Intel Application Optimizer (APO) to take effect have reportedly been resolved with Intel claiming varying degrees of performance gains from the fixes.
Only time will tell how much of an actual, real-world impact the latest Arrow Lake update makes. For now, it is quite clear that the Arrow Lake series is in shambles in Germany with fans opting for Ryzen chips instead.
