Both AMD and Intel are widely expected to unleash new mobile chips at CES 2025. We expect Team Blue to unveil the Arrow Lake-H/X series, while Team Red is likely to counter with its Strix Halo products. Retailers and suppliers have already begun listing laptops with these new processors, some of which have already appeared online.
First, we have a 16-inch Asus laptop with what is believed to be AMD's upcoming 8-core Krackan Point APU, likely branded as the Ryzen AI 350. We have recently covered a Geekbench 6 leak of an Acer laptop with what appears to be the same APU, and the scores do seem impressive despite the product likely being an engineering sample, locking horns with the Ryzen 7 8845HS and soundly defeating the Core Ultra 7 258V 'Lunar Lake' processor.
Next up, we have laptops with Intel's upcoming Core Ultra 200H and Core 200H processors. At the high end, we have a 14-inch Asus Zenbook laptop with the Core Ultra 285H chip, which is set to replace the Core Ultra 9 185H. A 16-inch Asus Vivobook with the Core Ultra 5 225H chip has also been listed by Eyo, along with a Core 7 240H non-Ultra variant which will be based on Raptor Lake and feature substantially slower integrated graphics. Luckily for us, with CES 2025 being just around the corner, we won't have to wait long to find out what the chip titans have under wraps for us.
