The rumor mill surrounding Nvidia's upcoming Blackwell-based RTX 50 lineup took a suspiciously long coffee break last week, judging by the absence of new leaks. Thankfully for us enthusiasts, the week-long hiatus has seemingly lifted, and Wccftech has gotten its hands on some juicy new information regarding the upcoming RTX 5070 Ti GPU.
For those keeping score, this is not the first time we have heard about the RTX 5070 Ti. As we reported a while ago, the RTX 5070 Ti is expected to boast 8,960 CUDA cores and a substantial 300 W power rating. However, the latter number has changed quite a bit, as per Wccftech's sources. According to them, the RTX 5070 Ti will be based on a cut-down version of the RTX 5080, which utilizes the GB203-400 SKU. Moreover, the power rating has been bumped to a whopping 350 watts, which is honestly quite shocking for an XX70-class GPU. Of course, it is possible that this is simply one of the configurations that Nvidia is testing, but that remains to be seen. Kopite7kimi has chimed in as well, stating that their latest data indicates a far more modest 285-watt TBP, which is the same as its predecessor.
We did not have any details regarding the memory specifications of the RTX 5070 Ti, but it appears we do now. The card is seemingly shaping up to be quite the overachiever and will boast a 256-bit memory bus and 16 GB of GDDR7 memory. The memory bandwidth will also enjoy a major 33% boost compared to its predecessor, now at 896 GB/s. Since Nvidia has confirmed that RTX 50 will be introduced at CES 2025, we won't have much waiting to do. As usual, the high-end variants are expected to arrive first, but the jury's out on whether the RTX 5070 or RTX 5070 Ti will join the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 at the same time.
