New leak describes Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 release dates
With CES 2025 less than two months away, it should come as no surprise to see details of possible announcements surfacing ahead of time. Arguably, one of the biggest showcases at next year's Las Vegas-based conference will be the GeForce RTX 50 series sporting Nvidia's latest Blackwell architecture.
Until now, Nvidia is only believed to have GeForce RTX 5080 and GeForce RTX 5090 ready in time for CES 2025, which runs between January 7 and January 10. However, VideoCardz now reports that another cheaper option could be on the cards for the same conference, too. Currently, the website is unsure whether it will be the GB205-300 based GeForce RTX 5070, or the more powerful GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
With that being said, it considers that 'at least one of them is almost certainly being announced' during CES 2025 alongside GeForce RTX 5080 and GeForce RTX 5090 counterparts. Incidentally, specifications for the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti suggest that it will use a scaled-down version of the GB203 that will also underpin the GeForce RTX 5080, among other changes. Meanwhile, lower-than-expected pricing for the GeForce RTX 5090 turned up online earlier this week, details of which we have covered separately.
Reportedly, Nvidia hopes to launch the GeForce RTX 5090 D in Q1 2025 too. The GeForce RTX 5090 D is thought of as a Chinese-exclusive option, though, like the GeForce RTX 4090 D before it. As a result, there is little chance that the card will join others at a US-based trade show. By contrast, neither Benchlife nor VideoCardz believe at this stage that the GeForce RTX 5060 or GeForce RTX 5060 Ti will arrive before Q2 2025.
