FN60G WE: New mini-PC arrives to challenge the Apple Mac Studio with RTX 4090 and liquid cooling
FEVM has updated its mini-PC line with the FN60G WE, which it is only offering in China for the time being. Incidentally, early details about the FN60G WE first emerged in September. However, the FN60G WE succeeds the FN60G that debuted last year in China before reaching global audiences in early 2024.
While the FN60G WE and FN60G have similar names, the former has a taller case than the latter with a 3.8 litre overall case volume. Nonetheless, it seems that the FN60G WE carries across its predecessor's ports, which include:
- 2x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DC power
- 2x DisplayPort (8K/60 Hz)
- 2x HDMI (4K/60 Hz)
- 1x SD card reader
- 3x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (5 Gbps)
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 2x USB Type-C (1x 20 Gbps)
Although FEVM has brought across last year's port selection, the taller case in this year's model allows the FN60G WE to pack a beefier cooling solution. As the images below show, FEVM has opted for a Thermalright-derived liquid cooler, which keeps Intel's Core i9-14900KF (curr. $439 on Amazon) ticking over. Ultimately though, this is merely the most powerful CPU with which the FN60G is available.

With that being said, FEVM has also included a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 laptop graphics card this time around, which packs an AD103 GPU with 9,278 CUDA cores, 304 TMUs, 112 ROPs and 76 Raytracing cores. Moreover, the graphics card has 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM running at 20 Gbps on a 256-bit memory bus for a 576 GB/s peak memory bandwidth.
For reference, the FN60G WE starts at CNY 3,999 (~$555) in China as a barebones unit with an AMD Radeon RX 6600M GPU that has 8 GB of VRAM. The mini-PC can be configured with RTX 4060 too though, which also features 8 GB of VRAM. Presumably, FEVM will offer the FN60G WE globally early next year through white-label partners like Topton.
