Deal | RTX 4070-powered Acer Swift X 14 with impressive 2.8K OLED display gets biggest discount ever

While there is no shortage of people who want a powerful gaming notebook, the list shrinks when we account for people who do not wish to haul around 16 or 18-inch desktop-replacement laptops in their backpacks. For such people, there is a decent number of options available on the market, such as the Acer Swift X 14. Thanks to an ongoing offer on B&H Photo Video, the RTX 4070-equipped thin and light laptop is now available  with a massive $350 discount, bringing its price down to just $1,299.

The Swift X 14 in question boasts a powerful Core Ultra 7 155H CPU paired with a generous 32 GB of non-upgradable LPDDR5X memory. An RTX 4070 Laptop GPU handles the graphics, and, although the GPU is limited to a maximum of 60 watts, the overall system performance is almost as good as it gets for a 14-inch laptop with similar specifications. Unsurprisingly, the Swift X 14 is not targeted at hardcore gamers. That said, for productivity usage and the occasional gaming, the laptop is more than up to the task. Battery life is also plenty sufficient but falls short of competitors with less powerful internals, according to PCMag's testing.

A beautiful 14.5-inch 2.8K OLED display is also on offer, with a smooth refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display boasts great color reproduction while benefiting from all the qualities of an OLED panel, such as true blacks, nearly instant response times, and excellent contrast ratios. The build quality is passable, while the port selection is perfectly acceptable. At 3.4 lbs, the Swift X 14 is not the lightest laptop in town, but is impressively portable considering its powerful internals. Of course, there are plenty of laptops with more power-hungry RTX GPUs, but those generally come either in larger 16-inch variants, such as the HP Victus 16, or command immorally high price tags, like the otherwise excellent Zephyrus G14.
