91mobiles, Paras Guglani and Sudhanshu Ambhore have all revealed details about the Redmi Note 14 4G, less than a year after Xiaomi officially announced its predecessor. For context, the company only recently introduced 5G variants outside China as the Redmi Note 14 5G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G. Nonetheless, it seems that both the Redmi Note 14 4G and Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G are almost upon us.
Moreover, early indications suggest that Xiaomi will distinguish the Redmi Note 14 4G in a few areas from the existing Redmi Note 13 4G (curr. $136 on Amazon). For example, the images below all contain references to a 5,500 mAh battery, which would be 10% larger than the equivalent inside the Redmi Note 13 4G. Conversely, 33 W wired charging would remain. As a result, the Redmi Note 14 4G will likely take longer to reach full charge than its predecessor.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi will jump from Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to Gorilla Glass 5 for improved drop protection. With that being said, we suspect that the company will carry over the 6.67-inch and 1080p AMOLED display from this year's model with references to a 120 Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Furthermore, the Redmi Note 14 4G is set to launch with the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra, which is the same chipset that underpins the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G. Consequently, the former should be over 30% faster than its predecessor. Although a release date remains unknown for now, 91mobiles asserts that Xiaomi will sell the Redmi Note 14 4G in two memory configurations that combine 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage or 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
