Affordable Acemagic V1 mini PC debuts with unannounced Intel processor
Intel has yet to announce the Twin Lake lineup, but mini PCs featuring the N150 from the series are already available to purchase. The Beelink S13 and EQ 14 (curr. $229 on Amazon) are among them, and the Acemagic V1 will join them. At the core, it's an affordable mini PC that's geared for relatively low-resource-demanding applications.
The Intel N150 inside is basically a slightly improved variant of the N100 with a higher clock speed. It can reportedly offer a 15% performance boost, which should make the Acemagic V1 capable of handling day-to-day office tasks and media needs. It should even handle game emulation to some extent. The company paired this low-power CPU with a cooling system that aims to keep the noise level low but make the processor offer stable performance during heavy loads.
As for the build, the chassis of this mini PC isn't out of the ordinary, but Acemagic says that it's compact enough to fit in most workspaces. More specifically, the N150-powered V1 measures 3.9 x 3.9 x 1.18 inches. There is a decent selection of ports as well, including:
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1 x Ethernet
- 1 x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1 x HDMI 2.0
For wireless connectivity, the Acemagic V1 has WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2, none of which are modern, especially when compared to the other recently launched mini PCs. While there's no word on the price yet, it's expected to be around $250, matching the prices of the other N150-powered options.
