The Intel Arc B580 turned out to be a phenomenal success, with stocks drying up within hours of launch. While it doesn't have nearly as many board partners as Nvidia and AMD, the ones it does have done some outside-the-box thinking. MaxSun, in particular, has an Arc B580 model that comes with two NVMe SSD slots.
Videocardz spotted the curious GPU over at Bilibili. The user posted a teardown and even attached two SSDs to it. Unfortunately, that's where it ended, and we couldn't see if either drive actually worked when connected to a machine. Then again, the MaxSun Arc B580 in question was an engineering sample and not fully representative of the final product.
You'll need to fully take apart the cooler to access the SSD slots. This is clearly meant for the more tech-savvy crowd who have experience taking apart hardware. On X, MaxSun's official handle said the company plans to launch the curious GPU officially. Apparently, information about it will be revealed "very soon". While the idea looks great on paper, its practicality remains to be seen.
