N-One has a new notebook on offer, the NBook HX, which is currently available for direct import at a price of just under $775, with shipping time from China to the USA expected to be between 20-30 business days. A somewhat long delivery timeframe, but at least shipping is free and customers do not have to pay any import fees (the threshold is $800; see here for more information). However, buyers should keep in mind that in the event of defects or damage, enforcing warranty rights may be difficult or outright impossible. Another thing to keep in mind is that the notebook's keyboard has a QWERTY layout, which may not be suitable for languages other than English.
Otherwise, the NBook HX is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, which, in tandem with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, should make it well equipped for all but the most demanding tasks. The SSD has a capacity of 1 TB and Windows 11 Pro is the installed operating system.
At 360 x 275 x 18 millimeters and a weight of 3.81 pounds (1.73 kilograms), it is neither the most compact nor the lightest notebook. This is due to the 15.6-inch IPS screen, of which the resolution is specified as 2,560 x 1,440, the display ratio as 16:9, and the refresh rate as a smooth 165 Hz. As the NBook HX lacks a dedicated graphics card, however, such a high refresh rate is unlikely to be fully utilized in demanding video games.
Connectivity options include one full-function USB-C port, another USB-C port (data transfer only), three USB 3.2 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, a memory card reader and a 3.5-millimeter headphone port. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 are supported. Other features include a fingerprint sensor and a 2 MP front camera. Lastly, the battery has a capacity of 57.75 Wh, so users should not expect outstanding runtimes. Although we cannot give concrete numbers on battery life without testing the model first, other laptops with similar configurations reach anywhere between 6-13 hours depending on the usage scenario.
