The Logitech G502 Hero Lightspeed and Logitech G305 Lightspeed wireless gaming mice are both on sale at Amazon for over 40% off. Both feature advanced customisation, high performance Hero sensors, and fast 1 ms response times via 2.4 GHz.

Logitech is one of the most well-known gaming brands around, but some of the brand's recent gaming mice, like the G309, which is also discounted to $59.99, have been less than popular among the hardcore gaming community. That has led to mice like the currently discounted G502 Lightspeed and G305 Lightspeed becoming even more popular than before.

Recent Amazon sales make the two legendary gaming mice even more tantalising, with the G305 Lightspeed discounted to a whopping $29.99, while the G502 Lightspeed is down to an impressive $79.99 after a 47% discount.

These two Logitech gaming mice kind of sit at opposite ends of the gaming mouse spectrum, with the Logitech G305 Lightspeed featuring a more minimalist design and stripped-back feature set, while the G502 Lightspeed is basically an exercise in maximalism.

The Logitech G305 Lightspeed focusses on performance in a comfortable, no-frills chassis. It still packs the impressive Hero 12K sensor, with up to 12,000 DPI resolution, and a perfectly adequate 1,000 Hz polling rate, but it is limited on the customisation front and still makes use of an AA battery, instead of the internal batteries that are more common these days.

In its default configuration, the G305 weighs in a claimed 99 g, and there is no option for a wired connection, which would theoretically reduce the effective weight. While the G305 Lightspeed is customisable through Logitech's G Hub, with support for full remapping, profile creation, and DPI and polling rate adjustment, the mouse only has three extra buttons outside the default left, right, and middle click buttons.

Sticking with the aforementioned no-frills design, the G305 has no RGB lighting whatsoever, but it is available at the same price in five different colourways: black, blue, lilac, mint, and white. The lack of RGB means that the G305 has an official battery life rating of 250 hours of continuous use on a single AA battery, which comes included in the box.

The Logitech G502 Lightspeed, on the other hand, features 11 programmable buttons, a customisable RGB logo and accent lighting, an internal rechargeable battery, detachable USB cable, unlockable free-scroll scroll wheel with left and right scroll functions, and a customisable weight tuning system. The Logitech G502 Lightspeed is also customisable in Logitech G Hub, and it also maxes out at a 1,000 Hz polling rate. Logitech says that the internal battery should last around 60 hours, with a two-minute charging session supposedly refilling the battery for up to 2.5 hours of gaming.

The G502 Lightspeed is powered by Logitech's Hero 25K sensor, which the company claims can track at speeds of up to 400 IPS (inches per second) with a resolution of 25,600 DPI.
