The Dreame L30 Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop is now available in the US. The new flagship model arrives shortly after the L20 Ultra, which was revealed in September at IFA 2023. The two models have two key differences: firstly, the L30 has 7,300 Pa suction power, while the L20 has just 7,000 Pa.
Secondly, the L30 Ultra has a hot mopping functionality, reaching temperatures up to 136°F (~58°C), which should deliver improved cleaning compared to the cold water wash available with the L20 Ultra. Otherwise, the models appear to be the same. The robot has a self-cleaning docking station, automatically washing and drying the mop and emptying the onboard dustbin, allowing for up to 75 days of hands-free cleaning. The mop automatically lifts by 10.5 mm (~0.4-in) when the carpet is detected to avoid wetting the fabric.
Plus, the robot uses a combination of AI Action and 3D Structured Light Obstacle Avoidance technology to navigate your home without bumping into objects. You can control the robot using the Dreamehome app, setting no-go zones, virtual walls and a schedule. Alternatively, you can control the device using Amazon Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant voice commands. You can now buy the Dreame L30 Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop for US$1,699.99. Whether or when the new model could arrive in other countries is unknown.
