The Optoma UHZ55 projector is now available via retailers worldwide. The new 4K model has a gaming mode and a laser light source delivering up to 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness. Other features include built-in speakers, access to apps via the Optoma Marketplace and smart home ecosystem compatibility.

Optoma has launched a new 4K projector in countries around the world, the UHZ55. The model has a native 3,840 x 2,160 px resolution, supporting 4K HDR and HLG. The projector’s DuraCore laser light source delivers up to 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness and is expected to last for 30,000 hours without any need for maintenance.

You can use the UHZ55 to project images up to 120-in (~302 cm) wide with a 1.21-1.59 throw ratio. Other features include a 2,500,00:1 contrast ratio, two integrated 10W speakers and a relatively quiet operating noise of 27 dB when in Eco Mode. The device has a built-in media player with the Optoma Marketplace, letting you download apps like Prime Video and Spotify. Plus, the pre-set Gaming Mode allows a 4 ms response time for a 1080p@240Hz resolution, increasing to 16.9 ms for a 4K@60Hz experience.

The Optoma projector supports dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Ports included on the gadget are HDMI 2.0, HDMI 2.0 eARC with HDCP 2.2 support, USB-A 2.0, S/PDIF, Audio out, RS232 and RJ45. You can buy the Optoma UHZ55 4K projector for $2,499/£1,499/€1,999.
