Samsung has announced a comprehensive audio upgrade for numerous products, ranging from Galaxy smartphones, tablets, Smart TVs, Galaxy Books to the Galaxy Buds2 Pro.

Samsung has announced a series of new audio features for several products in a press release, which will soon be distributed to the respective products via software updates. First up are the Galaxy Buds, which will receive support for the Interpreter app of the Galaxy S24.

When this app is activated, the Galaxy Buds whispers translations of your conversation partner directly into your ears, while your conversation partner listens to your translated speech through your Galaxy phone. This eliminates the need to pass the smartphone back and forth, allowing both parties to fully concentrate on the conversation rather than on the technology.

Smartphones and tablets, including the Galaxy S24, will soon support Bluetooth Auracast. In simple terms, this allows users to create a "Bluetooth radio station" so that numerous earphones within Bluetooth range can be connected to the smartphone instead of just one headphone or speaker (as was previously the case). Samsung Smart TVs will get support for 360 Audio, so users can benefit from virtual surround sound with head tracking via their Galaxy Buds.

Auto Switch will also work with the Galaxy Book4 series in future. The feature basically simplifies Bluetooth multi-pairing. When connected to two devices at the same time, Android will automatically switch the playing device when there is an incoming call. This users to take the call without having to switch off whatever is playing. The rollout of these new features will begin at the end of February in the form of an update for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, the Galaxy Buds2 and the Galaxy Buds FE.
