LG UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE: New 240 Hz OLED gaming monitor released globally
LG is now selling the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE, an update over the UltraGear OLED 27GR95QE (curr. $743 on Amazon) that arrived last year. For context, the company previewed the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE in late December 2023 alongside numerous other OLED gaming monitors. Subsequently, the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE appeared in January at CES 2024, with sales seemingly beginning later that month in Canada.
Now, LG has brought the monitor to China and the US, where it retails for CNY 5,999 (~$834) and $899.99, respectively. As we discussed previously, the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE outputs natively at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with 0.03 ms GtG response times and 275 nits typical brightness. As far as we can tell, the latter relates to full panel brightness as its VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification should ensure 1,000 nits when viewing HDR content.
Moreover, the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE has a 240 Hz refresh rate and provides 98.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Meanwhile, LG has adorned the monitor's back panel with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort connection and a USB hub consisting of Type-A and Type-B ports. Unfortunately, the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE lacks any USB Type-C ports to speak of. Please see LG's product listing for details.
