MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED released as new curved gaming monitor with 175 Hz refresh rate
MSI has quietly started selling the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED directly and through its retail partners. To recap, the company showcased the 34-inch curved gaming monitor last month at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. Joined by the likes of the MPG 321URX QD-OLED that MSI has also recently started selling, the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED features the following display specifications:
- 3,440 x 1,440 resolution (UWQHD/21:9 aspect ratio)
- 1800R curvature
- 175 Hz refresh rate
- 0.03 ms GtG response times
- 1,000 nits peak HDR brightness
- VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified
Thus, MSI has created the monitor using a Gen 1 QD-OLED panel rather than the newer Gen 3 QD-OLED equivalent that underpins the MPG 321URX QD-OLED. Moreover, the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED features various ports, including HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C (DP Alt/15 W PD) connections. Accordingly, the monitor is cheaper than the MPG 321URX QD-OLED, which retails for €1,399, £1,299 and $949 in the EU, UK and US, respectively.
By contrast, MSI charges $899.99 in the US and £998.99 in the UK. However, the company charges €1,299 in the Eurozone, which covers to £1,111 at current exchange rates. Currently, it seems that the MAG 341CQP QD-OLED will begin shipping later this month across all the markets in which the monitor is available. Please see our launch article for more hardware details.
