Dell’s Alienware X16 R1 scored 88% (very good) in our in-depth review. One thing that stood out a lot is that the gaming laptop packs 175-watt graphics but is just 18.57 mm thick. This was a major improvement from the previous high-end laptops from Dell.
But the maxed-out configuration that we reviewed had a hefty price tag, which Dell did eventually lower. However, if you want more value than the reduced price tag, you should check out this limited time deal on Amazon. It has dropped the same top-end configuration we checked out from the $2,999.97 listed price to $2,399.99.
As hinted earlier, the Alienware X16 R1 did really well in our tests. With Intel Core i9-13900HK, Nvidia RTX 4080, and 32 GB of RAM, the gaming laptop can smoothly run all the modern AAA games with max settings. Thanks to the well-calibrated display, you can use it for professional content creation too.
On that note, the laptop comes with a 16-inch screen with QHD+ resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate. This panel also features 100% DCI-P3 coverage, Nvidia G-Sync, and a good response time.
Other highlights of this Alienware X16 R1 gaming laptop include an ultra-low-profile mechanical keyboard that’s quite comfortable to type on and excellent audio performance. You can learn more about this gaming beast and how it performs in different games from our review video attached below.
