Xiaomi: Powerful charger provides wireless charging all the way up to 80 watts

Xiaomi has just officially presented the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for the global market and is also offering matching accessories, including the possibility of particularly fast charging. Specifically, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports charging up to 90 watts via USB-C. Charging without a cable is also possible, whereby users have to make do with slightly lower charging speeds, namely wireless charging up to 80 watts.

These are offered in a complete charging solution that not only includes the actual wireless charging solution, but also a plug-in power supply and a USB cable. The plug-in power supply has an output charge of an impressive 120 watts, meaning that it can charge other devices particularly quickly via cable.

The charger is said to have a charging capacity of 80 watts, thus fully utilizing the capacity of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. In principle, the charger supports the Qi standard and can thus charge a wide variety of devices, although the maximum charging power depends on the device. According to Gizmochina, Samsung smartphones can be charged up to 10 watts, while iPhones are limited to 7.5 watts.

The new Xiaomi charger is a stand-up model and not just a charging pad, meaning that the smartphone can continue to be used comfortably during the charging process. According to the manufacturer, this lasts a maximum of 49 minutes. In China, the charger is available for the equivalent of just under $70. Information on a global launch is not yet available.
