2024 Lenovo Legion R7000P gaming laptop debuts with AMD Ryzen 7 8845H and Nvidia RTX 4060

The 2024 Lenovo Legion R7000P became official in China and is now available for preorder in the Chinese region. However, not much has changed from the 2023 model. As a matter of fact, the only notable difference is the processor, which has been upgraded to AMD Ryzen 7 8845H from Ryzen 7 7840H.

This CPU from the AMD Hawk Point series allows the gaming laptop to enjoy improved AI processing power. Thanks to the new NPU, Lenovo says that the 2024 Legion R7000P can deliver a total AI performance of up to 38 TOPS.

Besides that, all the other specs of the gaming laptop are pretty much the same as last year's model. That means it still has the Nvidia RTX 4060, which Lenovo says can deliver up to 140 watts of performance. The cooling system also remains unchanged. However, the good part is that the last Legion R7000P came with a reasonably robust cooling setup.

The gaming laptop features five heat pipes that are paired with two "ultra-thin blade turbo fans." As for the screen, it's also the same as the last Lenovo Legion R7000P. It's a 16-inch panel with a 165 Hz refresh rate, 3 ms response time, 350 nits of brightness, and a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution.

Other notable aspects of the 2024 Legion R7000P include an 80 Wh battery, WiFi 6E, a generous number of connectivity ports, and a Nahimic speaker system. Check the images attached below to learn more.

Pricing-wise, the gaming laptop is currently available for preorder at CNY 8,399 (around $1,168) in China. Lenovo hasn't said anything about the global debut yet, but the Legion R7000P series usually launches as the Legion Slim 5 in the international markets with an HS-series chipset (2023 14.5" OLED Slim 5 curr. $1,049.99 on Best Buy).
