OnePlus revealed to have included 8 GB of RAM in first Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 smartphone
The release of OnePlus' first Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-powered smartphone remains over a week away. For context, the company presented the Ace 3V earlier today as the first smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3, full details of which we have covered separately. By contrast, it has decided to hold back the Nord CE 4 until April 1, which is still two days ahead of the Edge 50 Pro's release.
Nonetheless, the Nord CE 4 has already appeared on Geekbench in numerous leaked benchmark listings. Unsurprisingly, the handset performs about as well as a forthcoming Motorola Edge smartphone that relies upon the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Moreover, the Nord CE 4 will come with 8 GB of RAM running Android 14, unlike up to 16 GB of RAM for the Ace 3V.
OnePlus has now confirmed that the handset will be available with 'up to' 256 GB of storage. Thus, the company will likely sell 128 GB and 256 GB variants, both with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. Furthermore, the Nord CE 4 supports 100 W wired charging, mirroring the Ace 3V, but only a 1080p and 120 Hz AMOLED display. With that being said, the Ace 3V is expected to launch globally later this year as the Nord 4.
