Asus launched the ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro months ago as its premium gaming devices for the year. The company has now returned with a new device in the lineup, the ROG Phone 9 FE, as a more affordable option for fans of the series.
The ROG Phone 9 FE has now debuted in Thailand. The gaming device features last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, unlike its siblings that sport the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Specs of the phone are otherwise identical to the vanilla ROG Phone 9: 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 50 MP IMX890 main camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5 MP macro camera, and a 32 MP selfie snapper.
Like the ROG Phone 9, the ROG Phone 9 FE sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate going all the way from 120 Hz to 185 Hz. Other features include dual stereo speakers, a 5500 mAh battery, 65 W charging, IP68 certification, and a 3.5mm jack. It's priced at ฿29,990, which converts into around $890. While the ROG Phone 9 isn't sold in Thailand, the ROG Phone 9 Pro carries an MSRP of ฿29,990 ($1,190) in that market, so the ROG Phone 9 FE serves as a much cheaper alternative.
