It looks as though the first AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D-equipped gaming laptops will start shipping around the end of March at the earliest. Dream Machines has also updated the specifications of the aforementioned laptops with faster DDR5 memory.

We recently reported that laptop system integrator, Dream Machines, will be the first to offer AMD's Ryzen 9 9955HX3D gaming CPUs in its upcoming gaming laptops. Initially, there was some uncertainty about when these next-gen laptops would start shipping, despite already being available for pre-order.

More recently, however, Videocardz reported that Dream Machines has clarified that the first Ryzen 9 9955HX3D laptops will start shipping to customers at the end of March or beginning of April.

Additionally, the company has also clarified that the RAM installed in these gaming systems will be DDR5-5200 or DDR5-5600, which may actually lead to significant performance gains for the Zen 5 CPUs. The new CPUs are slated to be more widely available than their predecessors, but the pricing still reflects their high-end nature, with one laptop SKUs featuring Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU coming in at an eye-watering $3,289. An optional 2 TB SSD upgrade will also be available, pushing the price up even further.

Dream Machines will apparently also offer variants of the laptops with as low as an RTX 5070 Ti paired with the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, which will bring the price down somewhat. Both the high-end and mid-range variants are slated to feature liquid cooling, which should allow Dream Machines to push up to 175 W of TGP to the GPU. The rest of the specifications aren't bad, either, with a 2,560 × 1,600 p, 300 Hz display pushing 500 nits of brightness, and a reasonable ports selection offering dual USB type-C ports, DisplayPort 2.1a, HDMI 2.1, and triple USB type-A ports.

For now, these laptops are only available via the Polish Dream Machines online store, but they're based on generic Tongfang or Clevo laptops, so they should be available from other system integrators soon enough.
