Following an announcement at CES 2025, Asus has begun selling the Zenbook A14, its first Zenbook model with a Snapdragon X series processor. The configuration currently available has the less-powerful Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) processor but lots of RAM and storage.

Announced at CES 2025 as the first model in its Zenbook laptop series to be powered by the Snapdragon X processor, Asus has now begun selling the Zenbook A14 laptop in the US. The PC is available to buy directly from Asus and Best Buy.

The Zenbook A14 (UX3407QA-PS76) is a pretty light laptop that weighs just 2.18lb (988 grams). It is also the first Asus laptop to have an all-Ceraluminum build. Ceraluminum is a portmanteau of ceramic and aluminum, and according to Asus who created it, it isn't aluminum with a ceramic coating. Instead, it is created by immersing aluminum in an electrolytic bath of pure water and minerals that causes an oxidized layer to grow out of the aluminum.

The result is a material that is light and durable as aluminum and also has the anti-scratch properties of ceramic. Asus originally used the material for the exterior of the Zenbook S 14 and Zenbook S 16, but for the Zenbook A14, both the exterior and the chassis are ceraluminum.

The Zenbook A14 has a 14-inch WUXGA Lumina OLED NanoEdge display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The processor inside is the Snapdragon X (X1 26 100), the lowest entry in the Snapdragon X series which Qualcomm says is designed for cheaper PCs. Although the price tag of Zenbook A14 isn't cheap.

There's 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 M2 SSD. The laptop has a single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A port, two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, a single HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm jack. It also has an FHD camera with infrared and Windows Hello support, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6E. There's a 70Whr battery inside the Zenbook A14 and ASUS says it should provide up to 32 hours of continuous video playback.
