The compact 14-inch Asus gaming laptop has received one of its largest discounts to date and is now on sale for $1,099. Although its RTX 4060 is certainly not the most powerful dGPU available, gamers will enjoy the gorgeous 2.8K OLED screen.

Due to their steeply discounted prices, portable 14-inch gaming machines powered by an RTX 4060 and one of AMD's Zen4-based processors will still have their place in the market even after more expensive laptops with Nvidia's latest Blackwell GPUs have hit virtual store shelves.

Gamers who agree with this notion might want to check out Best Buy's latest offer for the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, whose beautiful white color variant has recently hit its second-lowest price thus far. To be more exact, the configuration with the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is currently on sale for $1,099.

In comparison to the original list price, this gaming laptop deal provides savings of 31% or $500. In addition to the capable CPU and GPU pairing, this Zephyrus G14 SKU is equipped with a 1TB NVMe SSD as well as the good-looking OLED display that is found in all 2024 models of the 14-inch laptop. This panel has a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, supports G-Sync and sports a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Zephyrus G14 is a well-rounded OLED gaming laptop with soldered RAM

For more details on the high-quality chassis, processor and colorful OLED screen, please check out our comprehensive review and comparison video featuring the slightly more powerful RTX 4070 configuration. To summarize, we praised the Zephyrus G14 (2024) for its very good performance, build quality, input devices and speakers.

We have also listed the 2.8K OLED display as a strong suit, even though we would've liked to see a higher peak HDR brightness, as the panel maxes out at under 500 nits. Furthermore, the Asus gaming laptop does not support Wi-Fi 7 and comes with soldered memory, which is a bummer considering that the 16GB found in this configuration are not particularly future-proof. That said, gamers who are aware of these caveats might want to take advantage of this mentionable discount.
