Asus has updated the Zenbook line with various new options today at CES 2025, including the series' first Qualcomm Snapdragon model. Incidentally, only a few months have passed since the company announced Intel Lunar Lake and AMD Strix Point versions of the Zenbook S 14 and Zenbook S 16, respectively (curr. $1,479 on Amazon).
In short, the Zenbook A14 (UX3407) lines up as a less powerful alternative to its older Zenbook S 14 and Zenbook S 16 peers. Nonetheless, Asus still includes LPDDR5X RAM, PCIe 4.0 (M.2 2280) SSDs and a 14-inch OLED display that resolves at 1200p with a 60 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, all Zenbook A14 models ship with a 70 Wh battery and the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x HDMI 2.1 (TMDS)
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 2x USB 4
The Zenbook A14 will be available in two configurations initially, at least in the US. On the one hand, Asus intends to sell the Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100) powered variant with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD for $899.99. For now at least, Asus hopes to begin selling this variant in late March, with no specific date provided.
On the other hand, Asus will charge $200 more for Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) chipset with eight CPU cores, eight threads and a 45 TOPS-capable NPU. Incidentally, this price includes 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD upgrades too. On top of that, this $1,099.99 SKU will be available from January 13 in the US. Please see Asus' website for more information.
