CES 2025 | Asus announces Vivobook 14 Flip and Vivobook 16 Flip with Intel Core Ultra 7 256V and $899.99 starting price

Asus has announced new variants of the Vivobook 14 Flip and Vivobook 16 Flip powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V. The new laptops arrive just a few months after Asus announced models with the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor.

The Vivobook 14 Flip has a 14'' 60Hz OLED display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution while the Vivobook 16 Flip has a 16'' ASUS Lumina OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a much higher 2880 x 1800 resolution. Both computers have touch support and also stylus support. They also have a 1080p IR camera.

Powering the Vivobook 14 Flip and Vivobook 16 Flip is the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V which has 16GB of on-package, non-replaceable RAM. The Intel Core Ultra 7 258V variants that were announced in September 2024 have 32GB of RAM. The new Vivobook Flip laptops are available in 512GB and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD (1 x M.2 2280 slot) variants.

For ports, both laptops have 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1x Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, 1x Thunderbolt 4 port, 1x HDMI 2.1 port, 1x audio jack, and a microSD card reader.  They also have Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Unsurprisingly, the Vivobook 14 Flip has a smaller 70Whr battery while the larger Vivobook 16 Flip has a 75Whr battery. Both laptops support 65W charging via USB-C and come with a 65W AC adapter. They will ship with Windows 11 Home.

Asus says the Vivobook 14 Flip will be priced at $899.99 for the 512GB version while the 1TB version will cost $999.99. The Vivobook 16 Flip with 512GB of storage will cost $1099.99 while the 1TB version will sell for $1,199.99. Both laptops will be available in Matte Gray.

The 512GB Vivobook Flip 14 and 1TB Vivobook Flip 16 will be available starting 3rd of February while the 512GB Vivobook Flip 16 will be released on 10th of March. The 1TB Vivobook Flip 14 arrives last on the 7th of April, 2025.
