RedMagic will be fully unveiling its next-gen flagship phone on November 13, and so far, the brand has confirmed a good number of features of the RedMagic 10 Pro. The latest teaser now confirms that the new Snapdragon 8 Elite gaming phone features a 7,050 mAh battery, something that past reports have hinted at.
Looking back, the last-gen RedMagic 9S Pro sports a 6,500 mAh battery, and in a 1080p video playback test done by PCMag, the phone delivered 15 hours of runtime. With a more efficient SoC and a higher battery capacity, the 10 Pro should be able to offer more.
Interestingly, even with a larger battery, the RedMagic 10 Pro is thinner than the 9S Pro. More specifically, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite phone measures 8.9 mm thick, while the last-gen predecessor measures 9.47 mm. While the company didn’t explicitly mention it, the thinner form factor with a larger battery capacity is likely achieved by using a Si/C battery, something that the recently released Chinese flagships feature.
The charging speed of the new gaming phone has still not been disclosed, but past leaks hint that it will support 100W fast charging (100W Anker Prime charger curr. $49.99 on Amazon). Other confirmed details of the RedMagic 10 Pro include a 6.85-inch screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate, a flat display, a flush back, and four color options. Reportedly, there will also be a Pro+ and Ultra variant, but they are yet to be confirmed by the company.
