Xiaomi Redmi Book Pro 2024 laptops launched in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes with Intel Meteor Lake-H processors

Xiaomi has refreshed its Redmi Book Pro series, a few months after updating the Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16 to Intel Raptor Lake-H processors. For reference, the Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 and Redmi Book Pro 16 2024 have arrived during a bumper launch event in China where Xiaomi also presented the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Pad 6S Pro 12.4, among other devices. The company teased the Redmi Display G Pro 27 during today's event, although the company began selling this Mini LED gaming a few days ago in its home market.

As for the Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 and Redmi Book Pro 16 2024, both come with a choice between the Core Ultra 5 125H and Core Ultra 7 155H, a pair of Meteor Lake processors that integrate Arc iGPUs. Additionally, the two laptops can be configured with up to a 1 TB SSD and 32 GB of RAM, as well as the following ports regardless of the version chosen:

• 1x 3.5 mm jack
• 1x HDMI 2.1 (TMDS)
• 1x Thunderbolt 4
• 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A
• 1x USB Type-C

Moreover, Xiaomi installs a 1080p webcam and a pair of 2 W speakers in both machines. However, the Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 and Redmi Book Pro 16 2024 diverge when it comes to their displays, battery sizes and charging capacities. According to Xiaomi's product pages, the Redmi Book Pro 14 has an 80 Wh battery that supports 100 W wired charging. By contrast, the Redmi Book Pro 16 can recharge its 99 W battery and 140 W, matching recent MacBook Pro 16 models.

Furthermore, the Redmi Book Pro 14 outputs at 2,880 x 1,800 pixels across its 14-inch panel, which corresponds to a 16:10 aspect ratio. Also, the smaller model has a native 120 Hz refresh rate and 400 nits peak brightness, compared to 165 Hz and 500 nits for the Redmi Book Pro 16. On top of that, the latter has a 3,072 x 1,920-pixel native resolution. While Xiaomi has not unveiled plans to launch either laptop globally yet, the Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 and Redmi Book Pro 16 2024 start at CNY 4,999 (~$695) and CNY 5,999 (~$834), respectively.
