RedMagic Nova gaming tablet durability tested to the limit in new video
RedMagic is known worldwide for its high-end and often quite cyberpunk Android smartphones. It has, however, now made its first tablet for the international market (and its introductory pricing) official.
The Nova has been shown to be quite independent repair-friendly, despite having parts no other tablet has, an active RGB fan included. Now, however, it is time for its durability to step into the spotlight, having now reached the JerryRigEverything table.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version-powered tablet managed to overcome the infamous arsenal of device torture implements (razor blades included), demonstrating that its 2.8K display scratches "at a level 6, with deeper grooves at a level 7" as expected.
The 10.4-inch device was markedly susceptible to the final round - the bend test - despite its aluminum unibody, however.
Fortunately for RedMagic, the device did stay in one piece, even with its new and apparently permanent curvature.
Finally, JerryRigEverything host Zach Nelson also pointed out some other details about the new tablet even WekiHome missed: for example, it has POGO pins, much like those of the iPad Pro.
Accordingly, RedMagic might have accessories such as a Magic Keyboard analog in reserve for Nova fans; it is a slight shame that they, like the brand's Magnetic VC Cooler 5 Pro for smartphones as found on Amazon, will be an additional purchase.
