The RedMagic Nova launched in China earlier this month, and now, the company has brought it to the global market. With a starting price of $499, it's currently the world's only gaming tablet with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version.

RedMagic first launched the Nova gaming tablet in the Chinese market earlier this month and later promised that the device would make its global debut soon. The company kept its word, as it has just announced the pad for the international market, and the price is pretty competitive.

As the official store reveals, the gaming tablet will start at $499, which is lower than the launch price in China. Of course, RedMagic didn't reveal whether that's a pre-order or retail tag. Speaking of which, you can't pre-order one just yet, as it's scheduled for October 7.

When it comes to the specs, it's the same as the Chinese variant. That means the RedMagic Nova is currently the only gaming tablet that features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, an overclocked version of the standard SoC.

This boosted chipset is paired with an active cooler and an advanced ICE 2.0 cooling setup. RedMagic also says that the 3D air duct inside the gaming tablet helps improve cooling efficiency by 30%, and the gaming tablet is said to feature PC-grade heat pipe technology.

Moving on, the RedMagic Nova sports a 10.9-inch display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, 2880x1800 pixels resolution, and 550 nits of brightness rating. A 10,100 mAh battery powers all the hardware inside, and it can charge at 80W (Anker 737 curr. $109.99 on Amazon). The company says that it takes 55 minutes to get from 0% to 100%.

Other highlights of the gaming tablet include a 50 MP rear camera, 20 MP selfie shooter, quad-speaker setup with DTS-X Ultra Sound, thin and light build, customizable RGB logo, and up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The regular sale of the RedMagic Nova is scheduled for October 16.
