Lenovo reveals new color option for the 2024 Legion Y700 gaming tablet
Lenovo is gearing up to launch the 2024 Legion Y700 on September 29 in China. This new Android gaming tablet will be going against the RedMagic Nova, and the company has already confirmed almost all the specs of the device. Now, hours before the full unveiling, it has confirmed the second colorway.
To fill you in, Lenovo initially showcased the new gaming tablet in a matte black colorway. The 2023 Legion Y700 was available in only one colorway, but the successor will be different in this regard. Per the latest teasers, the successor will also be available in a white colorway.
The company calls the first "Carbon Crystal Black" and the second "Ice White." That's pretty much all that the latest teasers have revealed. Previously, Lenovo confirmed that the Android gaming tablet will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. While it's not the Leading Version that RedMagic's new tab packs, the company paired it up with a large vapor chamber (VC) cooler.
With a recent Weibo post, the company has also confirmed that the 2024 Legion Y700 can deliver stable performance across different games. The temperature was also shown to be pretty good during heavy loads.
Other than that, the new gaming tablet is confirmed to feature an 8.8-inch screen with a 165 Hz refresh rate, 2560x1600 pixels resolution, and global DC dimming. All these make the 2024 Legion Y700 a proper successor to the 2023 model. If Lenovo keeps the pricing competitive, especially in the global market, it could compete very well against the RedMagic Nova.
