Android 14 Beta programs expand for recent OnePlus and Vivo flagship smartphones
Google is finishing up its Android 14 Beta Program, which has now reached Beta 5.3. While Google is likely to be the first Android OEM to distribute stable Android 14 builds to its devices, BBK Electronics' subsidiaries should not lag too far behind. Previously, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme and Vivo have all offered Android 14 Beta builds in some capacity, whether that be the OnePlus 11, Oppo Find N2 Flip or Realme GT 2 Pro.
Now, OnePlus has announced the first Open Beta for the same smartphone. Thus, you can now freely install Android 14 Beta on your OnePlus 11 without signing up for the Beta Program itself. Please note that there are some caveats, such as the lack of availability outside India and North America. As always, there are several known issues with OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 that you can find in OnePlus' community post.
Meanwhile, Vivo has confirmed that Android 14 Beta will soon be available on the X90 Pro. According to the company's Twitter post, only 500 units will be admitted to its Preview Program, with registrations opening today. While you must have updated your handset to at least 13.1.13.8.W30.V000L1, you can enrol in Vivo's Android 14 Beta program by heading to System Update within the main settings menu and select 'Trial Version'. Please see Vivo's forum post for more details.
