In recent years, Samsung has often been the first company to release smartphones globally powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset. However, OnePlus has beaten its rival to the punch this year by bringing the OnePlus 13 to market across Europe, the US and other markets before Samsung has had chance to introduce the Galaxy S25 series anywhere.
To recap, the OnePlus 13 initially debuted over two months ago. That was only true in China though, where it started at CNY 4,499 (~$614) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. By contrast, the OnePlus 13 costs at least $899.99 in the US. With that being said, OnePlus is offering a complimentary memory upgrade to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage with pre-orders, as well as a Watch 2R (curr. $229.99 on Amazon) or Buds Pro 3 earbuds.
Fundamentally, the global version of the OnePlus 13 is the same as the one that OnePlus has been selling in China since early November. Thus, the device combines Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with a 6.82-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 1440p with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate. Incidentally, the large display peaks at 4,500 nits with 1,600 nits full panel brightness.
Moreover, OnePlus includes a 6,000 mAh Silicon Carbon (Si/C) battery that supports 50 W wireless and 100 W wired charging. On top of that, the OnePlus 13 finds itself with a Sony LYT-808 sensor as its primary camera, plus a pair of other 50 MP sensors that serve as 15 mm ultra-wide-angle and 73 mm telephoto cameras. Furthermore, OnePlus installs a 32 MP front-facing camera built around a 1/2.74-inch sensor. Please see OnePlus' website for more details.
