Nothing has started rolling out the Nothing OS 3.0 to the Nothing Phone (1). The Nothing OS 3.0 is the company’s latest skin based on the Android 15 operating system.
The Nothing Phone (1) was released in 2022. It came with Android 12 out of the box. Since the phone is slated for three OS updates, Android 15 is likely the last major Android update for the smartphone.
Apart from the new features of the Android 15 OS, the company has also introduced some additional features for its custom skin, Nothing OS 3.0. A new feature called Shared Widgets is introduced with the new update, allowing users to share widgets with family and friends. Additionally, there are some AI enhancements for better user experience.
The update comes with the firmware version V3.0-250108-1938. It has a size of around 1.46GB. According to the changelog, this update includes:
- Shared Widgets feature
- New lock screen customization page
- New app drawer style
- Enhanced pop-up view
- UI design updates
- AI and system improvements
Apart from the Phone (1), the company's budget device, the CMF Phone (1), has also started to receive the Android 15 update. The update is rolling out in a staggered manner, hence it may take some time before all users receive it.
