Honor Magic V2: New 2023 sibling allegedly pops up on official database ahead of launch
Honor has only just confirmed that it will be able to launch the global version of the Magic V2 at IFA 2023; therefore, it might be an awkward time to have tips pointing to a second foldable smartphone from the brand leak out. However, according to Perfect Arrangement Digital on Weibo, that is exactly what has just happened.
The user's discovery of a new Honor device on the 3C database has led to speculation that it is a direct successor for the Magic Vs. Then again, should it really be a second-gen iterative upgrade on the Honor flagship, perhaps with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version, it is hard to explain why 3C has approved it to use 35W charging, as opposed to the 66W technology of both the V2 and Vs.
There is another possibility, which is that this "VCA-AN00" (allegedly code-named victoria) is in fact an alternative, perhaps even budget, version of the V2. It is thought to launch as the Magic V Slim (a bit redundant in light of the V2's well-touted USP, perhaps?) and, if so, to switch to the outward-folding design of the Mate Xs series from former Honor parent company Huawei.
Then again, there is still no evidence that Honor will drop a single hint about anything like this during its September 1, 2023 keynote.
