Samsung announces launch date of new Galaxy Z Fold5 Thom Browne Edition model

Samsung and Thom Browne are planning to collaborate again, having skipped last year's Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. While Samsung has not revealed which device it intends to give the Thom Browne treatment to yet, the two teasers published so far indicate that it will be only the Galaxy Z Fold5. For context, Samsung created Thom Browne versions of the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3, as well as equivalent special edition versions of the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold2.

Nonetheless, a Thom Browne Edition of the Galaxy Z Fold5 is also likely to ship with customised versions of the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Buds2 Pro, if past releases are anything to go by. Likewise, Samsung may well include other Thom Browne-branded accessories, such as cases, power adapters and an S Pen. It remains to be seen whether Samsung will return to the off-white or dark grey finishes of the Galaxy Z Fold3 or Galaxy Z Fold2 Thom Browne Edition models, though.

Samsung will unveil its next Thom Browne Edition handset on September 7. Please note that Samsung only ever sells these devices in limited quantities, typically through its webstore and through Thom Browne directly. Thus, the special edition handset may not be around before it sells out globally.
