Oppo has now revealed the launch date for the Find N3 Flip, shortly after Evan Blass shared promotional images of it and the Watch 4 Pro. As expected, the Find N3 Flip will debut on August 29. According to Oppo, its next hardware launch event will start at 14:30 China Standard Time, which equates to 06:30 UTC. As the images and short video below show, the Find N3 Flip builds on the design of its predecessor.
On the one hand, the device retains the portrait-orientated display from the Find N2 Flip. Presumably, the display will continue to span over 3-inches. However, it remains to be seen whether Oppo will re-use the same panel, which measures 3.26-inches with a 382 x 720-pixel native resolution. On the other hand, the Find N3 Flip adopts a large circular camera housing, with Oppo arguably drawing inspiration from Huawei and the P50 Pocket in this regard.
Either way, the Find N3 Flip is rumoured to combine the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset with 16 GB of RAM. In other words, this year's Find N Flip should provide a modest performance improvement over last year's edition. Additionally, Oppo is expected to equip the Find N3 Flip with the Sony IMX890 as its primary camera, a 50 MP sensor that the company will complement with 32 MP telephoto (2x zoom), and 48 MP ultra-wide-angle rear-facing cameras.
Meanwhile, there should be a 32 MP front-facing camera within the device's 6.8-inch and 120 Hz foldable display. Oppo will bring Hasselblad camera tunings and an alert slider to this year's Find N Flip too, both nods to OnePlus. Thus, we would not rule out seeing a OnePlus version of the Find N3 Flip later this year for global audiences, as is rumoured to be the case for the OnePlus Open.
