Tecno Phantom V Flip specs, color options and unique cover display leak out
Tecno is projected to follow its inagural Phantom V Fold up with an equally first-gen clamshell-style Android device. Now, the leaker Paras Guglani has partnered with Newzonly to deliver an allegedly comprehensive new tip on this Phantom V Flip (or, possibly, V Yoga).
The putative foldable smartphone might have the edge on others such as the Motorola Razr+ or Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 with a main flexible display of 6.9 inches in diagonal length, although its resolution will still be FHD+. It is slated to have a fairly conventional 8GB RAM/256GB non-expandable storage configuration, however.
The "Phantom V Flip" might make up for that with its appearance, though. It is now depicted as having a circular cover display, like that of the Huawei P50 Pocket - however, unlike that smartphone, Tecno allegedly surrounds it with 64+13MP rear cameras and a flash in an almost Honor X50-esque ring.
Then again, this design choice does shrink the putative round cover screen dimensions to 1.32 inches (with a pixel density of 466x466), which means it might be dwarfed by the much larger, 3-inch+ secondary displays of its 2023 rivals.
Furthermore, the Phantom V Flip is also thought to fall behind with a Dimensity 8050 platform rather than a flagship SoC. Therefore, it is predicted to hit the Indian market at a markedly competitive price in October 2023.
