Tecno Phantom V Flip launch set for later in September 2023
Tecno has now conceded that some case manufacturers out there have beaten it to the punch in revealing that the Phantom V Flip is in fact a real device and will be unveiled soon. It is still not absolutely certain that the clamshell will have a flexible main screen, although its new launch poster hints strongly that this is indeed the case.
Therefore, the V Flip may join similarly-titled potential rivals such as those from Vivo, Samsung and OPPO soon on the foldable smartphone market soon. However, unlike those Flips, Tecno's version is believed to drive a cutting-edge main display without the benefit of a flagship-grade processor.
That would make it a first of its kind (were it not for the early Motorola Razr experimental specimens, that is) and could also make it much more accessible to Tecno fans - even more so than the new and improved Razr 40, perhaps. Then again, as it is now scheduled to launch in Singapore, it is possible that it may not be a global device.
In any case, the Phantom V Flip is now slated to launch alongside the MegaBook T1 (2023) in the Merlion's domain on September 22, 2023.
