Honor is now offering its latest smartwatch in Europe. Sold as the Honor Watch 4, the smartwatch has a large AMOLED display, a simple design and up to 10 days of battery life. One of the smartwatch's compelling features is missing from the global model, though.

Honor has now released the Watch 4 in Europe, less than a month after the smartwatch debuted in the company's home market. As we discussed at the time, the Watch 4 is Honor's first smartwatch to feature an eSIM, a commonplace feature among many other smartwatches. Thus, the Watch 4 can perform plenty of tasks without having a paired smartphone nearby, such as receiving notifications from connected apps, sending messages or making and receiving phone calls.

Unfortunately, Honor has not included eSIM functionality in the global version of the Watch 4. Instead, the smartwatch's connectivity options extend to GPS and Bluetooth 5.2, with no Wi-Fi offered either. As a result, you will need your paired smartphone on hand if you want to utilise a lot of the Watch 4's functionality.

Other specifications appear unchanged, though. For example, the global variant retains an AMOLED display that measures 1.75-inches across. Additionally, the display has a 390 x 450-pixel native resolution, a 340 PPI pixel density and a 60 Hz refresh rate. For reference, the Watch 4 is 5 ATM water resistant, weighs 32 g without its silicone watch band included and has an aluminium alloy case.

Moreover, Honor rates the global model for up to 14 days of battery life from its 451 mAh battery. Currently, Honor lists the Watch 4 on its French website for €149.90, including taxes. For some reason, the company has only brought the smartwatch to Europe in its black colour option. In comparison, Honor offers the Watch 4 in China with a choice of three colours.
