Deal | MSI Bravo 15 becomes one of the cheapest RTX 4060-equipped laptops on the market after 22% price drop on Newegg

If you are in the market for an affordable mid-range gaming laptop, the MSI Bravo 15 has dropped to just US$849 on Newegg, a discount of US$250 (via slickdeals). The discounted price makes the MSI Bravo 15 the cheapest RTX 4060-equipped gaming laptop on Newegg and one of the cheapest on the market overall. As a reference, the most affordable RTX 4060 notebook on sale at Best Buy at the time of writing is the GIGABYTE G5 gaming laptop which is going for US$949.99.

Aside from the RTX 4060, the MSI Bravo 15 features a Ryzen 7 7735HS CPU, 8 GB of DDR5-4800 memory, and 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. Other notable specs include a 15.6-inch IPS display with FHD resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, the display only covers 45% of the NTSC gamut, so it isn’t meant for professional use.

Moving on, the MSI Bravo 15 features a good selection of ports with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port that supports DisplayPort, one USB 2.0 Type-A, one audio jack, an RJ45 port, and one HDMI 2.1 output.

On paper, the MSI Bravo 15 looks like a capable mid-range performer thanks to the 8-core Ryzen 7 7735HS and 105 W RTX 4060. In our testing, the Ryzen 7 7735HS is on par with the Core i7-1370p and the Ryzen 9 6900HX in multi-core performance. So, the CPU is powerful enough to handle even demanding tasks.

Similarly, the RTX 4060 is also a decent mid-range GPU. The board performs similarly to the last-gen RTX 3070 mobile as it is only 4% ahead in the 3DMark Time Spy graphics benchmark per our testing. The synthetic performance translates well to gaming where the RTX 4060 managed to drive F1 2023 at 54 FPS, Diablo 4 at 165.5 FPS, Star Wars Jedi Survivors at 60 FPS, and The Last of Us Remake at 53 FPS, all at FHD resolution and Ultra settings.
