Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Watch6 series, which is orderable from today. Available in four sizes, the Galaxy Watch6 series marks the return of Classic styling, which was last seen on the Galaxy Watch4 Classic.

Samsung has now launched the Galaxy Watch6 series, the follow-up to last year's Galaxy Watch5 series. Arguably, the Galaxy Watch6 series has no direct successor to the Galaxy Watch5 Pro, with Samsung returning to the design of the Galaxy Watch4 Classic instead. As expected, Samsung offers the Galaxy Watch6 series in eight distinct variants and four sizes. For reference, these models are priced as follows in the Eurozone:

  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 (40 mm | Wi-Fi): €319
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 (44 mm | Wi-Fi): €349
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 (40 mm | LTE): €369
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 (44 mm | LTE): €399
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic (43 mm | Wi-Fi): €419
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic (47 mm | Wi-Fi): €449
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic (43 mm | LTE): €469
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic (47 mm | LTE): €499

All variants combine the Exynos W930 chipset with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, with only 7.1 GB available for user data. Officially, the Exynos W930 is approximately 19% faster than the Exynos W920, in part thanks to its two CPU cores running at 1.4 GHz, a near 19% overclock over Exynos W920. Battery capacities differ between models though, with 425 mAh cells afforded to the 44 mm and 47 mm versions of the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic, respectively. In comparison, the smaller 40 mm and 43 mm variants make do with 300 mAh batteries.

Similarly, 40 mm and 43 mm models have Super AMOLED displays that measure 1.3-inches across and output at 432 x 432 pixels. By contrast, 44 mm and 47 mm models have 1.5-inch Super AMOLED panels that operate natively at 480 x 480 pixels; Samsung protects all displays with Sapphire Glass. Moreover, the Galaxy Watch6 series is the first to ship with Wear OS 4.0, albeit customised with Samsung's One UI 5 Watch skin.

Unfortunately, Samsung has not added any new sensors, although software upgrades should make better use of the included temperature sensor. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 series is orderable from today and will start shipping in early August. Please see  for Samsung's website more details.
