Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Redmi K70 Pro to launch globally as POCO F6 Pro
Since the Redmi K60 landed on the global market as the POCO F5 Pro, seeing the Redmi K70 launch globally as the POCO F6 Pro wouldn't be a surprise. While this still has to be confirmed by Xiaomi, the latest rumors claim that the Redmi K70 Pro will be known as POCO F6 Pro in most markets and the processor used for it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
In addition to the above, Xiaomiui reveals that data from Mi Code confirms the previously rumored codename "vermeer" for the Redmi K70 Pro alongside some additional display-related information. While earlier leaks mentioned a flat display, the source above got specific by outlining an OLED panel manufactured by TCL. Sadly, any resolution or refresh-related information is not available yet, so it will have to surface in future leaks.
Unfortunately, the Redmi K70 series is still a few long months away, as the latest leaks and rumors mention the first quarter of 2024 as the period the Xiaomi has chosen for its unveiling.
In addition to all the above, we should also recall that earlier rumors said that the Redmi K70 Pro would come with a 5,120 mAh battery (vs. 5,000 mAh in the K60 Pro) while sticking with the 120 W HyperCharge technology of its predecessor, as Xiaomi has already proven its ability to manufacture phones with 210 W and 300 W wired charging capabilities.
