The K70 Pro is tipped to launch as Redmi's first Android smartphone to launch with the successor to the current top-end mobile processor from Qualcomm. The SoC might drive a display with on-trend specs and features on. The K70 Pro is also backed to debut with a battery that exceeds the traditional top-end 5,000mAh limit - albeit not by much.

The Redmi "K70" has just allegedly leaked out as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered upgrade over its predecessor; now, its Pro sibling has made the news with its own rumored updates. It is now painted as a version of its own forebear with a faster 8 Gen 3 chipset that will be nearly brand-new on the smartphone's late 2023 debut.

On that note, the K70 Pro is tipped to stick with a flat display - although it is possible that the putative 2K panel's bezels will get thinner in this generation, as with the upcoming Xiaomi 14. Furthermore, it is said to get more premium in other ways, as Redmi may ditch the plastic used in the K60 Pro's construction in its next generation of flagship.

Nevertheless, the K70 Pro might get slightly thicker thanks to a larger battery - then again, it won't be that much bigger, slated as 5,120mAh compared to 5,000mAh in the K60 Pro. Nevertheless, Redmi is projected to stick with 120W wired charging in this "2024 flagship".
