Xiaomi Redmi Note 13: First signs of new smartphones appear online with Chinese, Global and Indian models planned
Xiaomiui has discovered the model numbers of a new Redmi smartphone, for which Xiaomi has created specific Chinese, Indian and Global variants. While the website claims that these model numbers should correlate to the unreleased Redmi Note 13, it concedes that Xiaomi may have associated them with the Redmi Note 13 Pro instead. As usual, Xiaomiui has found these model numbers through IMEI database entries, screenshots of which we have included below.
According to the website, Xiaomi is developing 2312DRAABC, 2312DRAABG and 2312DRAABI. For reference, the suffixes of these model numbers confirm them to be Chinese, Global and Indian models, respectively. Typically, the digits in Xiaomi's model numbers reveal when it intends to release a device in a yy/mm format. Hence, the model numbers for the original Redmi Note 12 series that Xiaomi launched in October 2022 start with 2210.
However, these model number dates often only apply to Chinese launches; the POCO X5 Pro has a 2210 model number too (22101320G/22101320I), despite arriving in February 2023. Thus, it seems that Xiaomi is working towards releasing at least 2312DRAABC in December 2023. If past Redmi Note series releases are anything to go by, Xiaomi may hold the 2312DRAABI back a few months, with 2312DRAABG likely scheduled for a late Q1 or Q2 2024 unveiling. Unfortunately, other details about the Redmi Note 13 series have not surfaced yet.
